Toy Story 3 Analysis 911 Reference?
This started as a blog for Spanish class, but now it's time for some serious talk. I just saw Toy Story 3 today and I noticed something I thought I should bring to other people's attention. Pixar is famous for adding in little easter eggs throughout their movies, but this seemed to be a little more than just a picture in the background or a license plate with a double meaning. At the end of Toy Story 3 Andy's boys were heading toward a fiery inferno. Without speaking they joined hands and waited for the inevitable. This parallels what the victims of 911 did in their final moments. The buildings were on fire and they had no other options. They joined hands and jumped. I don't know if Pixar intended for this, but it was an interesting choice to express the emotion Pixar wanted the audience to feel. Comment if you have another opinion.
